FAQ

Do you create your own recipes?

As you can tell from recipes on the blog, the majority of them are adapted or inspired from other recipes.  We’re always straight up about those sort of things.

Does Lauren do any of the cooking?

Cooking?  Not so much.  Baking, pasta, dough and pancake making?  Yes.  She’s the resident baker of the house, co-creator of homemade pasta, pizza dough and bread dough, along with sous chef for the not-so tricky parts of a recipe Kyle is executing.  It’s not that Kyle can’t bake as well as he cooks.  It’s just that the idea of measuring out perfectly packed brown sugar and the like makes him want to stab his eyeballs out.

How do you find time to cook?

This is THE most frequently asked question we get in real life.  We generally cook and prep everything for the weekday dinners on Sundays.  Because we both work full time jobs, it’s the best way to make sure we’re not spending money on unnecessary take out during the week.  This leaves time for trying baking recipes during the weekdays and most importantly, spending quality time together outside of the kitchen after work.  We tackle the fun, or should I say, super-involved, recipes on the weekends.
